On April 30th 2009 the Cheltenham Racecourse buzzed with activity as Commercial Group hosted its third annual CSR Day.

Attracting over 200 attendees from leading businesses from the Southwest, Midlands and further afield, the event focused on how to benefit from the environmental agenda.

Professor Mark Maslin, Director of the University College London Environment Institute, led a stream of experts who shared their knowledge in effective environmental management and carbon reduction.  Of particular note was that the value of both the creative, artistic and the rigorous scientist were extolled, while topics of interest to finance, marketing, CSR and environmental managers were all presented.

It is clear that a successful environmental programme uses the skills of the whole team and the attendees left inspired to drive their own businesses to greater things.
